The article “Primacy, Episcopacy, and Successio Apostolica” appears on pages 13-39 of God’s Word: Scripture, Tradition, Office (Henry Taylor, trans; Ignatius Press: San Francisco, 2008).  According to the editor’s introduction to God’s Word, this essay appeared first in in 1961 in a volume co-edited by Ratzinger and Rahner and titled Episkopat und Primat.  In the bibliography at the end of Pilgrim Fellowship of Faith, but the following also appears together with other items published in 1959: “Primat, Episkopat und successio apostolica”. Cath 13 (1959): 260-77; also in ThJb(L) 1962, pp. 118-33.  Not having access to this 1959 publication, I will assume for the purposes of this blog that the essay in God’s Word is to be placed in the year 1961.
