Salt of the Earth is a fascinating grab-bag of Ratzinger’s responses to the questions that most bother Catholics today.  This book-length interview with Peter Seewald took place when Seewald was a lapsed Catholic.  If I understand correctly, Seewald returned to the Church in part as a result of his conversations with Ratzinger.
